FACTS ABOUT DAPROMA

DAPROMA is headquartered in the city of Karlstad, in the heart of Sweden’s southern forest industrial region.

DAPROMA is a well established company, founded in 1986. It's specialized staff of engineers and technicians have 20 to 40 years of experience in the various phases of plant engineering and upgrading, as well as in the actual production of wood-based boards and panels. Many have an extensive international background, having worked on projects in most parts of the world, thus giving them an excellent knowledge about the use of locally available lignocellulosic raw materials in board productions and downstream applications.

DAPROMA is active world-wide on different projects, most of which are based on The DAPROMA Plant Concept, a system specially developed and designed to deliver tailor made solutions to accommodate available raw materials and other local conditions. All DAPROMA plants have an optimal energy balance, which will minimize environmental problems and enhance operating efficiencies.

DAPROMA’s staff has also been involved in various MDF projects, with bagasse as well as wood for raw material. DAPROMA has developed a system using straw as raw material for industrial scale production of particleboard using diisocyanate (MDI) as binder. The first plant, with a capacity of 150 m3/day, is in operation in North Dakota, USA, which is running very well and make consistency product meeting U.S. standard M3. Daproma also supplied a strawboard plant to Agrafibre in Canada, which is now converted to wood, since there was not sufficient straw raw material available.

For the wet process hardboard industry DAPROMA undertakes repairs, rebuilds and upgrades of complete production lines. DAPROMA also provides service of separate machines, such as refiners, forming machines and presses.

DAPROMA has a laboratory where all kinds of raw material can be tested for production of panels.

Finally, it should be mentioned that the engineers of DAPROMA with their theoretical and technological platform and their long practical experience, have the best possible background for troubleshooting in existing plants with the objective to increase the capacity and improve the quality of the products.

DAPROMA operates with a low number of permanent employees to keep the cost as low as possible. However, we use the senior engineers under contract drawing from a pool, and we will have the same experienced staff working with DAPROMA and related companies as we have had for more than 20 years.
